HR Specialist (Remote in Phoenix, AZ)

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Specialist to support their growing organization. The HR Specialist will play a vital role in supporting colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle while ensuring HR programs, policies, and practices are delivered with consistency, care, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Address colleague concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace environment. Escalate matters when issues become highly complex or involve legal considerations
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Provide support to the HR team on compensation-related activities, including explaining compensation practices to employees and supervisors and assisting with market benchmarking to support job development and hiring decisions
Create and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
Coordinate training programs for employee development and performance improvement
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Help support and perform suiting functions under any of the areas of Human Resources
Perform ad hoc tasks as needed and assist in managing and delivering HR projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills

Preferred

Previous experience in HR or a related field preferred, with an emphasis on recruitment and employee relations
Experience with Paylocity or other HRIS platforms preferred
