Responsibilities

Support global compensation program including job evaluations, salary ranges and grades (where applicable) and annual compensation cycle processes
Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices across Canada, the U.S., the UK and other areas
Support the annual merit & bonus cycles; prepare compensation reporting and modeling
Partner with Finance and leadership to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting of compensation programs
Monitor pay equity and ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., pay transparency requirements in applicable jurisdictions)
Act as a member of the company’s Compensation Committee, attend meetings, prepare reports, compensation benchmarking data, and program recommendations for committee review
Manage benefits and retirement/pension plans in each country, including enrollment, renewals, vendor relationships, claims escalation, and employee support; ensure compliance with local regulations
Collaborate with brokers and benefits providers to optimize plan design, cost management, and service quality
Oversee annual benefits renewals, communicate plan changes, and manage the open enrollment process
Analyze benefits utilization and recommend improvements to enhance the employee experience
Execute and continuously enhance employee recognition programs to support engagement, retention, and organizational culture
Administer compliance training programs, including onboarding training for new hires and annual, organization-wide mandatory training; track completion and ensure audit readiness
Regularly review existing HR policies to proactively inform program enhancements and policy updates; ensure all policies, procedures, and programs remain compliant with applicable legislation and aligned with industry best practices
Partner closely with the HR Business Partner to assess the effectiveness of HR programs, analyze people metrics, and provide data-driven recommendations to management to improve business outcomes
Partner with the IT team to enhance HR system functionality, improving user experience and driving process automation and efficiency
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential employee data within the HRIS, ensuring data quality and consistency
Coordinate efforts between payroll, P&C and finance to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data including benefits, headcount reports and forecasts
Prepare ad hoc reporting to support leadership decision-making
Ensure data integrity across HR systems and reporting, and provide support for internal and external audits as required
Provide clear and timely support to employees regarding pay, benefits, retirement plans, and People & Culture policies
Develop and communicate compensation and benefits policies and updates

Required

5+ years in HR, with strong specialization in compensation and benefits administration
Experience administering programs across multiple countries (primarily Canada, U.S., and UK); experience with third party Employer of Records
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in compensation modeling, Excel/Google Sheets, and HRIS systems
Understanding of benefits and retirement plan regulations in at least one of the company's operating regions
Curious, empathetic, and passionate about employee experience
Detailed oriented, multi-task oriented, professional, and self-motivated
High level of discretion and confidentiality
Engages in continuous learning
