Responsibilities
Perform and oversee hands-on maintenance and repairs throughout the property
Lead, train, and support a team of engineers, setting daily priorities and expectations
Troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, and life-safety systems
Ensure preventative maintenance programs are completed consistently and accurately
Respond to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized services and repairs
Monitor inventory, order parts and supplies, and manage maintenance-related expenses
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
Support fire/life safety inspections and corrective actions
Maintain work order documentation and maintenance records
Communicate maintenance needs, risks, and priorities to hotel leadership
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with prior team leadership responsibility
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and general building systems
Experience supervising or leading engineers or maintenance technicians
Ability to balance hands-on work with team oversight and accountability
Strong troubleshooting, time-management, and communication skills
Experience working with vendors and service providers
Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements
Technical certifications or trade education preferred
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops, mechanical rooms, and confined spaces
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs
