2+ years expGenesis10 is currently seeking an Associate Data Center Technician for an onsite, 12+ month contract position located in Richardson, TX. The role involves troubleshooting failed hard drives and DIMMs, installing new SSDs and NVME into existing servers, and assisting with various server maintenance tasks under the guidance of level 2 data center technicians.

Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and resolution of failed hard drives and failed DIMMs within server nodes
Installation of new SSD and NVME hard drives into existing servers
Troubleshooting and resolution of console connectivity issues
Troubleshooting and resolution of all power supply and RDU (power strip) related issues
Troubleshooting and resolution of all tier 1 server hardware break fix issues
Respond to all system problems on a 24/7 basis and take part in on-call rotation
Assist Data Center Technicians in OS level troubleshooting and network troubleshooting
Process (identify, tag, and prepare) all server nodes ready for decommissioning and prepare them for our third-party ITAM vendor to pick up
Ensure data center house rules are being followed and immediately report any concerns to leadership
Ensure data center cleanliness; any issues with cleanliness must be reported to leadership
Qualification
Required
2+ years in a Data Center Engineering Role
2+ years Linux troubleshooting experience
2+ years server hardware troubleshooting experience
Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position
Preferred
Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting
Familiarity with server hardware components and troubleshooting
A+ plus certification
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
