Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Finance lead for Strategic Programs, manage Business Cases, forecasting, and analysis processes, while driving improvements and efficiencies within Operations Innovation.

Responsibilities
Performs and analyzes month end close processes & analysis – including WBS & CC management, expense reclasses, report preparation and consolidation and Planisware/SAP tie outs
Collaborate on Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Strat Plan and other forecast cycles – including prioritization analysis and OneStream tie-outs
Business Partner with Strategic Program leadership and their teams – including support & analysis on business cases, savings calculations, financial policies and CARs
Leverage strong problem-solving to tackle challenges related to financial reporting, forecasting and analysis. Seek innovative solutions that can streamline processes
Maintain clear and organized documentation of processes and improvements made
Develop ad hoc reports to support analyses. Work on special requests, projects, and financial presentations for management as required
Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Preferred
Experience with Medtronic financial systems: SAP
Is a collaborator in a matrix structure with excellent communication skills
Has strong ability to partner with senior leadership and others and builds relationship networks at all levels
Experience with Medtronic financial systems: OneStream
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers
Global Experience, working in large, complex, matrix organizations
Exposure to Operations and/or accounting for Operations
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating actionable insights and analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization's objectives
