The Fountain Group is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Cell Culture Process Development group within PDS&T Biologics at the Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA. The role involves developing and supporting cell culture manufacturing processes for clinical programs, executing scientific research, collaborating cross-functionally, and ensuring compliance with corporate standards.

Responsibilities

Execute scientific research and development to improve platform processes and workflows, develop new methods, build technical expertise and intellectual property, and advance scientific understanding
Support cell culture process development activities including scale-up and scale-down efforts
Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytical Development, Cell Line Development, Discovery, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
Proactively identify opportunities to advance technologies and pipeline programs by evaluating scientific, regulatory, and business developments
Effectively communicate scientific data and concepts through presentations, reports, and technical documentation
Author and review protocols, technical reports, and other key scientific documents
Ensure compliance with corporate standards related to safety, documentation, code of conduct, and GMP requirements

Required

B.S. in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a life sciences–related discipline with 5+ years of industry experience, OR M.S. in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a life sciences–related discipline with 2+ years of industry experience
Strong background in cell culture processes, including: Cell culture process development, Process scale-up and scale-down, Recombinant protein production, Protein characterization
Proven hands-on experience performing aseptic cell culture work at benchtop bioreactor scale
