Senior Accounting Consultant

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of accountable analysis, insights, and reporting of financial results on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis for the Electrification and TPG groups
Provide commercial support for the Electrification product group
Engage with the product group leadership to provide insights and analysis to inform business decisions driving profitable growth
Provide business analysis support by establishing target costs, cost monitoring, value chain analysis, investment analysis, sourcing analysis, product costing, and supporting new product introduction projects
Effectively lead, influence, and interact with a global and diverse team
Support Caterpillar Global Finance Strategy through transformation of our processes and automation to help generate business insights
Qualification
Required
Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there
Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of 'big picture' thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline. CPA or CMA preferred
Demonstrated success and progression in previously held Accounting or Finance roles
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and executive presence with the ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership
