Responsibilities

The instrument technician-Surgery will be responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department
They will coordinate/communicate daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders
Must be competent in proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation
Must be proficient and responsible for all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, as well as handling Biologic Indicator testing as needed

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication skills
Excellent prioritization/organization skills
Basic knowledge reading computer printouts and working from task list

Preferred

Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization
1 year experience in a Sterile Processing Department
