Vice President, Development
Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Vice President of Development who will lead a professional staff of fundraising professionals and serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. The role involves developing strategies for ongoing fundraising initiatives, building relationships with donors, and ensuring successful fundraising performance across all programs.

Responsibilities
Lead the overall frontline program strategy and integrate the following fundraising areas: Individual Giving (Leadership Giving, Major & Principal Gifts, Estate and Gift Planning), Foundations, Corporate Relations, Research and Grant Management in partnership with the Dean of Research, and Transformational Giving (a focus of securing gifts at the $10M plus from individuals, corporations, and foundations)
Maintain and build an individual, dynamic portfolio of primarily transformational prospects representative of the most influential, supportive, and actively engaged constituents to BCM with individual and team annual goals agreed upon with the SVP
Actively focus on ways to ensure completion of the academic and capital priorities as part of the Campaign as well as ensure the successful launch and completion of the public phase
Deliver customer-centered development operations and provide primary leadership and oversight of all frontline fundraising staff and hold ultimate accountability for fundraising performance on behalf of clinical, educational and research initiatives across all Baylor controlled enterprises and partnerships
Provide leadership, oversight, and management responsibility for all transformational, principal and major gifts; gift and estate planning; foundation relations; corporate relations; prospect pipeline, including building and improving grateful patient and alumni support; and donor relations
Implement the comprehensive, multiyear business plan, budget, and fundraising strategy to augment staffing expansion, and optimize performance across all fundraising programs and portfolios, producing a sustainable pipeline of principal, and transformational giving opportunities
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum of eleven years of relevant experience to include at least 5 years in a leadership role
Preferred
Twelve years of direct fundraising experience, seven years of supervisory experience, and direct experience leading and managing a complex team
Membership in Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)
