Sales Manager-Electrical Growth Division
International Code Council is focused on delivering high-integrity alternatives in the Electrical Testing, Inspection & Certification ecosystem. The Sales Manager will build pipeline, win strategic accounts, and establish ICC-ES Electrical as a preferred partner, driving revenue and managing key client relationships.

Responsibilities
Establish business in areas of Non-accredited services: Global Concierge Services, Training, Compliance Readiness Review (Gap Analysis), European Directive, Certifications (Ordinary, Hazardous locations, Consumer Electronics, European Directives services) and Inspections: Field Evaluations and Special Inspections to NEC and SPE 1000, Annual factory inspections, and other Third-Party inspection services)
Own bookings and revenue for ICC-ES Electrical across key verticals (e.g., industrial controls, EVSE, energy storage, battery systems, lighting, appliances, power supplies, HVACR, hazardous locations where applicable)
Prospect aggressively and systematically: outbound, referrals, partner leads, and event-driven pipeline creation
Lead the full sales cycle: discovery ? solution fit ? proposal ? negotiation ? close ? handoff to operations
Build and manage a strategic account list; land-and-expand within multi-site manufacturers across the globe
Define ideal customer profiles (ICP), segmentation, messaging, and pricing/packaging inputs
Build core sales assets
Implement and enforce CRM/ Database discipline: pipeline stages, win/loss learning, forecasting cadence
Establish early KPIs and dashboards to drive accountability and performance
Develop referral partnerships with: Accredited labs / test facilities (when customers need testing capacity), Compliance consultants, project integrators and engineering design firms, Industry associations and event organizers, Strategic manufacturers and OEM ecosystems
Represent ICC-ES Electrical at key trade events and industry forums (e.g., IAEI-related forums, electrical manufacturing shows, sector conferences)
Build credibility through thought leadership: customer briefings, webinars, and technical-sales content in partnership with the technical team

Solutions Selling (TIC / Conformity Assessment)
Position ICC-ES Electrical services (e.g., certifications, Compliance Readiness Reviews, factory/field services, special inspections/field evaluations where applicable) with clarity
Assist in translating standards and compliance needs into customer value with the help of Technical expertise within ICC-ES: reduced risk, speed to market, fewer test failures, fewer redesign loops
Coordinate with technical leadership to shape scopes of work, timelines, test plans, and certification routes
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
7–12 years in B2B sales within TIC / certification / compliance / industrial services—ideally with exposure to organizations such as Intertek, CSA Group, UL, QPS, LabTest, or equivalent ecosystems
Proven record of consistently exceeding quota and winning strategic accounts
Strong understanding of how certification/testing/inspection services are sold (complex sales, multi-stakeholder, technical buying committees)
Excellent executive presence: can lead discovery, challenge constructively, and negotiate commercially
Builder mentality: thrives with ambiguity, creates structure, moves fast, and owns outcomes
Experience selling into electrical manufacturers (OEM/ODM), industrial equipment, energy tech, or hazardous locations markets
Familiarity with standards-driven industries (e.g., UL/CSA/IEC frameworks) and conformity assessment workflows
Experience launching a new territory, product line, or business unit from early-stage growth to scale
Ability to travel and attend conference and trade shows
Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk
Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, documents)
Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials
Auditory ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
May need to climb stairs in multi-level office building
