Responsibilities
Gather, compile, maintain, and analyze technical data (e.g., lab results, material testing, design changes)
Prepare engineering documentation including reports, drawings, flowcharts, block diagrams, and schematics
Generate summaries and reports with quantitative analysis
Provide hands-on technical support to engineers and project teams
Assist with equipment scoping, setup, qualification, and validation activities
Perform general laboratory functions including equipment calibration, safety procedures, and routine maintenance
Support prototype process development and test setup creation
Execute test protocols and conduct testing as designed
Accurately document, analyze, and communicate test results
Handle test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing
Escalate issues or risks that may impact project timelines or outcomes
(Tech II / III) May assist in training or mentoring junior technicians
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
6+ years of experience in a laboratory environment (corporate or academic) or as a technician in a regulated industry
Proven experience following written procedures and working effectively in a team environment
Preferred
Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline (or near completion)
1+ year of laboratory, R&D, or product development experience in a regulated industry (medical device strongly preferred)
Experience working in highly regulated industries (medical device, biotech, pharma, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, process-driven tasks
Well-organized with strong documentation habits
Ability to accurately understand and execute test procedures
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency with standard computer applications and technical documentation tools
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical problems
