Responsibilities

Advancing foundational AI methods, including machine learning and data science approaches
Demonstrating connections between AI research and civil and systems engineering domains
Enabling transformational impact on built and societal systems, including materials, manufacturing, construction, structures, communities and cities, public health, energy, and transportation
Engaging in data-driven discovery, design, modeling, simulation, decision-making, and/or policy development for sustainable, resilient, and autonomous systems and technologies in CaSE-relevant applications
Joining a vibrant department with faculty working across numerous scales and disciplines to bring engineering solutions to society's greatest challenges
Collaborating with university-wide initiatives in public policy and sustainable energy, as well as additional JHU Schools and CaSE affiliated centers and institutes
