Responsibilities

Defend medical malpractice and other defense litigation matters from inception through resolution

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda

Handle and defend depositions; assist with expert discovery

Prepare for hearings, mediations, and trials

Work closely with a senior attorney on case strategy and litigation management

Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Manage caseload efficiently while meeting litigation deadlines and billable requirements

Qualification

Required

2–5 years of defense litigation experience required

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Comfortable handling depositions and court appearances (or eager to grow into them)

Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, in-office litigation environment

Preferred

Medical malpractice defense experience strongly preferred
