Deposit Services Representative I

Responsibilities

Reviews reports and forms for quality control, clears exceptions or non-posted items. Balances reports, makes necessary computer entries
Processes a variety of bank work including, but not limited to: daily stop payment suspects; returned deposited items and large dollar notifications; Reclamation Notices; Notice of Levy; Subpoenas; CD renewals; changes in customer accounts; IRA paperwork; Savings Bond Window Transaction Reports; verifications of deposit accounts; etc
Reconciles various accounts to general ledger at pre-determined intervals
Prepares various reports on a pre-determined schedule
Prepares, types and mails customers notification forms of bank-originated entries and makes necessary posting to accounts and General Ledger
Maintains and updates various logs, ledgers, registers and databases
Researches customer orders and branch questions and processes work to resolve. Communicates answer to involved parties
Responds in a timely manner to both internal and external customers with account questions, does research as necessary
Posts work to General Ledger through a block as necessary

Required

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2-3 years client service/support in Banking or related field
Requires knowledgeable background of the bank's procedures and policies regarding retail and commercial banking function
Thorough knowledge of branch operations, back office operations and procedures
Working knowledge of compliance issues as they affect electronic banking
Requires knowledgeable background of computer systems, the Internet and navigation through the Internet with various browsers and Internet Access Companies
Demonstrates strong product knowledge and is able to explain features and benefits of each product/service
Ability to identify client needs, recommend applicable products/services and close the sale
Proven communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks

Preferred

Previous experience working within a Fiserv Core is helpful, but not required
