They are seeking a Collections Specialist responsible for performing tasks related to collecting outstanding invoices, applying cash daily, and investigating discrepancies for payments.

Responsibilities
Support the MCI Association Solution Sales Team by performing the following activities:
Sending collection reminders as needed
Calling/contacting clients to facilitate payment of invoices
Setting up Portals and other methods clients use to pay invoices
Post payments received daily (checks, ACH/Wires, Credit Cards)
Support the MCI Strategic Meetings, Events & Incentives Team (SEM&I) by performing the following activities:
Auditing bills based on feedback from clients (mainly hotels) to confirm the correct amount has been invoiced
Working with clients to get paid
Collection efforts as needed on SEMI clients purchasing sales related products (booths, sponsorships, etc.)
Learn and understand the various systems to help the collection process
Make sure all procedures are documented
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
At least 2 years Credit and Collections experience required
Experience working in a high volume billing or fast paced AR environment
Prior experience handling client communication around billing discrepancies
Exposure to customer portals or online payment systems
Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports
Ability to solve complex problems and initiate resolutions
Strong aptitude in all applications in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
SAP and other ERP system experience strongly recommended
Strong attention to detail
Organizational skills
High accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
