Data Products Team Lead - Millennium Space Systems
Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company, delivers affordable, high-performance space systems and is seeking a Data Products Team Lead. The role involves leading a team to develop the next generation of AI & ML products and services, working on innovative and scalable solutions to meet business goals.

Responsibilities
Solve challenging problems involving multi-sensor data analysis, exploitation, and integration in overhead persistent infrared (OPIR) mission areas executed by the United States Space Force, Space Systems Command; Missile Defense Agency; Space Development Agency; and other community members
Evaluate business objectives, determine stakeholder needs, and identify requirements. Choose best fit methods, define algorithms, validate, and deploy models to achieve business results. Perform necessary data preparation and enhancements to models
Develop and deliver core data science and analytics solutions. Candidate should have strong expertise in statistics, AI and ML theories/concepts, and good domain expertise either in space operations, engineering, supply chain, sales or manufacturing
Utilize advanced processing pipelines and other tools to analyze and exploit remotely sensed data to produce and disseminate products
Analyze and parse data in a variety of geospatial file formats and databases for machine learning and algorithm optimization, testing, and validation
Provide technical leadership to teams performing exploitation and process development
Create and deliver technical briefings and reports. Candidate will interface directly with senior business leaders and stakeholders to architect and lead the development of advanced analytics solutions supporting spacecraft operations
Employ mathematical principles to evaluate, develop, and select processing techniques, optimizing calibration, background suppression, signal augmentation, target detection, geolocation, and multi-target and multi-sensor tracking of dim targets
Design, operate, improve, optimize, and deploy scientific image processing and geospatial algorithms
Leverage end-to-end data exploitation and analytics knowledge to validate novel image and signal processing algorithms
Apply end-to-end knowledge of data exploitation and data analytics to provide independent verification and validation of new image and signal processing algorithms and inform trade studies to optimize performance of space payloads
Craft innovative, multi phenomenology solutions, specialized visualizations, and analytical reports for customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or other relevant engineering and 9 years of related experience; or MS degree and 7 years of related experience required
Strong proficiency digital communications architectures, networking, and cloud infrastructure
Strong proficiency with common version control, defect/task tracking, and documentation systems
Demonstrated experience leading a team
Must be versatile and able to perform and manage multiple tasks concurrently
This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Preferred
Experience with DevSecOps, infrastructure and system maintenance
2 years managing a functional team or equivalent
Familiarity with machine learning/AI concepts and tools
