InternKindred Curiosity is a volunteer-led nonprofit focused on creating spaces for Women of the Asian Diaspora in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Social Media Intern will support marketing and storytelling efforts across social media and events, collaborating with the marketing team to enhance community engagement and brand presence.

Responsibilities
Support the planning and coordination of marketing initiatives by tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables
Assist in managing the social media content calendar with monthly goals and priorities
Coordinate with the Marketing Director, graphic designer, and event team to ensure campaigns stay on track and aligned
Assist with day-to-day execution of social media content across platforms, primarily Instagram
Help ensure brand consistency across copy, visuals, tone, and voice
Contribute content ideas that highlight community stories, events, and values
Support engagement efforts by responding to comments and messages as needed
Help track basic performance metrics and contribute to monthly recap reports
Support event coverage through IG stories, posts, and short-form video
Assist with curating and organizing content from events, behind-the-scenes moments, and team activities
Collaborate with the events team to support event promotion and post-event storytelling
Support Content Series through outreach coordination, interview documentation, and content preparation
Qualification
Required
Are interested in social media, marketing, storytelling, or community building
Are organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy managing multiple moving pieces
Communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating in creative environments
Have an eye for aesthetics and branding, with curiosity to learn more
Enjoy connecting digital storytelling with in-person experiences
Preferred
Prior work, internship, volunteer, or school experience in marketing or social media
Familiarity with Instagram content formats such as posts, stories, and reels
Experience using or interest in project management tools like ClickUp or Asana
Passion for Asian Diaspora stories and community spaces
