Quality Engineer I

The Hillman Group is seeking a Quality Engineer I to work closely with various teams to evaluate and improve product quality. This role involves quality reporting, process improvement, and compliance with industry standards under the supervision of the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

Evaluation and improvement of the quality of new and existing products
Recommend and implement revisions to product specifications, processes, procedures, and/or quality control parameters and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Uncover and document quality-related issues through internal audits
Track and maintain quality metrics through data analysis
Visits to top supplier facilities to ensure quality standards are met, as needed. (Some travel in the U.S. may be required)
Lead root cause investigations using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys to drive corrective and preventive actions
Active participant in MRB for review and disposition recommendation for rejected products through the NCMR process

Required

Bachelor's degree in a Technical Field preferred
3 Years in a Quality Engineering Role within a Manufacturing Environment
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Interpersonal Skills for dealing with Internal & External Customer
Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Problem Solving & Analytical Skills
