Accounts Payable Analyst

Responsibilities
Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payment processing
Monitor audit holds and ensure timely resolution
Communicate with vendors, port stakeholders, and internal departments to resolve audit holds
Manage quarterly fuel and electricity costs, including rate calculations
Update rate sheets, LTS, and system codes and audit them for accuracy
Process manual invoices and reconcile backup data to ensure billing accuracy and processing efficiency
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
Process financial data for month-end and year-end accrual reporting
Submit approval requests for late payments as needed
Participate in vendor meetings and internal operational meetings
Respond to inquiries and administrative requests
Assist with documentation of processes and creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to management
Identify data integrity issues and follow through to resolution
Create and maintain financial reports as needed
Develop reporting tools to track operational efficiencies and deficiencies
Coordinate special projects as assigned
Provide insights to management to support decision-making and strategic financial planning
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate degree with 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable processing, bookkeeping, and billing
1–2 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, and billing
Experience with financial reporting, accruals, and reconciliation activities
Background or exposure to business administration, accounting, or FP&A
Proven ability to support process improvements and maintain data integrity
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to analyze financial and operational data and identify discrepancies
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal stakeholders
Capability to document processes and support continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge of general business administration, accounting, and/or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) preferred
Understanding of accounts payable concepts preferred
