Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and implement the vision of the Center’s Leadership Team for the creation, launch, and development of the UCLA Pritzker Center Racial Equity Hub for Child Welfare Reform
Lead efforts to synthesize and build upon existing research and data within a publicly accessible portal that shares findings from interventions and highlights relevant internal and external work
Oversee dissemination of research through media outreach, social media, and webinars to ensure broad visibility and community engagement
Lead the development and implementation of training programs, support resources, and convening opportunities aimed at increasing knowledge and capacity around racial equity
Design efforts to be inclusive and accessible, with emphasis on engaging individuals and TAY with lived experience as facilitators and contributors
Collaborate with relevant staff to ensure the portal clearly communicates policy and practice implications through reports and briefings
Provide ongoing technical assistance—including training sessions and collective learning opportunities—to support the integration of racial equity strategies into policy and practice
Elevate the Center’s Racial Equity Hub as a premier resource on foster youth and vulnerable families for the greater Los Angeles region

Required

5 years in child welfare, equity and inclusion, or related fields with emphasis on research and/or policy
3 years project management experience, particularly in coordinating complex projects, setting timelines, ensuring deliverables are met, and managing resources effectively
3 years Research experience specifically related to child welfare, diversity/equity/inclusion (DEI), social justice, or closely aligned fields. Experience using a range of research methods—such as qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, data analysis, and literature review techniques
Experience managing complex projects involving outreach, research, data collection, evaluation, and dissemination
Experience with research design, implementation, and evaluation, including quantitative and qualitative methods
Skill in setting priorities that reflect research goals, project timelines, and deliverables
Creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, identify factors, apply methods, and develop conclusions
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across diverse social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds
Ability to establish and sustain interdisciplinary campus and community partnerships
Knowledge of university policies related to budget and research administration, including grants and compliance
Knowledge of child welfare systems and related systems (health, mental health, education, public health) and ability to integrate these domains into research and evaluation
Ability to translate research into actionable recommendations for policy, practice, and outreach
Proficiency in developing research reports, manuscripts, presentations, and other dissemination materials
Knowledge of ethical standards and regulatory requirements related to human subjects research and data confidentiality
Bachelor's Degree in related area
Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends
Complies with all policies and standards and adheres to UCLA's Principles of Community
Performs other duties as assigned
20% Domestic - Ability to travel to off-campus meeting sites

Preferred

Experience managing grants—such as monitoring compliance, tracking budgets, preparing reports, and overseeing grant-funded activities
Master's Degree in related area
