Responsibilities
Assist in the management of the unit financial and accounting operations and activities. This includes:
Develop and implement cost allocation plan and methods in compliance with Federal circulars and Code of Federal Regulations
Perform accounting activities in an accounts payable or receivable system at year end for Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) preparation
Analyze reports and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts to ensure accurate accounting records
Assist with assuring compliance of financial policies and procedures issued by the department and OFM regulations. This includes:
Review, analyze, and process Inter Agency Payments (IAP) and expenditure move (F11) into AFRS
Monitor, review and process financial documents
Reconcile cash log totals with the Cash Receipt Journal (A8) daily and prepare A8 and corresponding Toolbox entries for upload into AFRS with all necessary backup documents
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and three years of relevant professional experience
OR a combination of education/experience equal to 7 years
Must be able to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) and Paid Family Medical and Leave (PFML) claim and fraud check
