3+ years expHubbell Gas Utility Solutions is hiring a Revenue Accountant to join their high performing team. This role is responsible for managing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and revenue compliance functions, ensuring adherence to Hubbell policies and US GAAP, while also supporting special projects.

Responsibilities
Perform month-end close routines, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Manage functional areas of responsibility including revenue recognition and ensure activities are executed in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with internal controls and Corporate policy
Review sales orders and quotes to ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards
Ensure timely revenue cutoff is achieved at each month-end
Partner with the business to understand upcoming contract negotiations, diagnose the accounting and reporting, implications in relation to U.S. GAAP as well as implications to the company’s internal control environment
Work with the accounting and finance team to design effective accounting and reporting processes with an appropriate focus on internal controls
Draft technical accounting memos, accounting position papers, and control documentation to support the company’s accounting conclusions and processes
Analyze financial transactions for errors or deficiencies, identify root causes and remediation plans, and implement improvements to prevent recurrences

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degree
Senior finance professional with 3-5 years combined work experience in Big 4 and/or Corporate Accounting
Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, its principles, and the application of these principles to everyday revenue-related transactions
Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to research and prepare internal memos to support conclusions on technical accounting issues by utilizing Accounting Standard Codification and other technical accounting sources
Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley control and compliance requirements
Able to work hands on within the various departments of the organization and communicate effectively up the chain of command
Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
Preferred
CPA preferred
Knowledge of JDE, SAP, OneStream and Blackline is highly desirable
