Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and development of residential, commercial, and industrial site projects
Prepare detailed engineering documents including site layouts, grading and drainage plans, utility designs, and stormwater management plans
Oversee project schedules, budgets, and staffing needs to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
Serve as a Project Manager—communicating with clients, coordinating with subconsultants, and ensuring regulatory compliance
Support land use planning, permitting, and coordination with local and state review agencies
Play an active role in developing and maintaining client relationships
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Dakota or ability to obtain licensure
Minimum 10 years of civil engineering experience, with a strong focus on site and land development
Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary site development projects
High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
Deep understanding of zoning, permitting, and land entitlement processes
Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Self-motivated and collaborative, with a commitment to high-quality work
