Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple internal and external sources
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and performance drivers
Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership and operational teams
Develop and maintain data models, analytic datasets, and queries to support reporting and analysis
Create and modify ETL/ELT processes (in partnership with IT/data teams) to integrate and transform data from diverse systems
Streamline and automate data collection and preparation routines wherever possible
Design and build dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools
Develop, refine, and track KPIs and other metrics that align with organizational goals
Present complex data in clear, accessible formats for non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
Implement and follow standards and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
Monitor data quality, identify anomalies, and coordinate corrections with data owners
Support adherence to data privacy and security requirements (e.g., HIPAA and other applicable regulations) and follow established access and data stewardship policies
Partner with business units and IT teams to define requirements, measure KPIs, and interpret data
Serve as a resource to departments by helping clarify data definitions, report requirements, and appropriate use of metrics
Facilitate meetings and discussions to review findings, gather feedback, and refine analyses
Develop and deliver training materials (e.g., FAQs, tip sheets, quick guides) to help users understand and effectively use dashboards and reports
Document data sources, definitions, assumptions, and analytical methodologies so work can be understood, reproduced, and maintained
Promote data literacy and a culture of data-informed decision making across the organization
Support project planning and execution for data-related initiatives, following established change control procedures
Act as a data steward when developing reports/dashboards or new data solutions, ensuring alignment with HHC standards and policies
Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear, concise manner
Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science)
Five (5) or more years of demonstrated, progressively responsible experience in business analytics, data analytics, or business intelligence
Demonstrated experience supporting executive or senior leadership decision-making
Any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background
Four (4) or more years of experience with financial systems or healthcare-related revenue cycle management
Experience in data forecasting and modeling, and working with large, complex, or enterprise-level datasets
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with Power BI, SSRS, and GitHub
SQL and/or Oracle, relational databases, schemas certificate or similar
Valid Indiana driver's license
Preferred
Master's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science)
