Responsibilities
Own the software design and development for major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure
Be a rock-solid developer, driven problem solver and have experience supporting large scale data planes
Be well versed in design and techniques to debug and dive deep on low level systems such as networking architecture, Docker, and Terraform
Have broad knowledge on distributed systems and their interactions
Be a team player and leader who is not afraid to step into mentorship and take point on complex design and operational challenges
Qualification
Required
3 - 5+ years' experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems
Strong knowledge of a base language such as Java, with a preference for functional programming language such as Scala
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Experience with tools such as Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
Deep knowledge with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and network architectures
Ability to design, troubleshoot and maintain networking infrastructure for high throughput use cases
Strong understanding of databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Preferred
Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
