Responsibilities
Own and manage the full employee lifecycle for North America: onboarding, orientation, performance management, development, engagement, internal communications, and offboarding
Develop and implement HR strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and drive a high-performance culture
Lead employee engagement initiatives, including culture events, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and department heads on HR-related matters, providing guidance on employee relations, performance issues, and workforce planning
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain accurate employee records and documentation
Oversee HR operations, including payroll coordination, benefits administration, policy implementation, and HR systems management
Collaborate with Finance and Executive Leadership on organizational development, headcount planning, and succession strategies
Support conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and other employee relations matters in a timely and professional manner
Travel as needed to support store openings, new hire onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives
Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs and support recruitment for North America roles
Oversee the candidate experience, ensuring professional and positive interactions with JMM throughout the hiring process
Advise leadership on best practices in talent acquisition and retention strategies
Manage and mentor a dedicated HR team member to ensure effective execution of HR programs and initiatives
Foster a collaborative, high-performing HR function that supports JMM’s mission and values
Qualification
Required
Experience in leading HR functions for North America
Proven track record in managing the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals
Experience in leading employee engagement initiatives
Strong advisory skills to provide guidance on HR-related matters to leadership
Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws
Experience in overseeing HR operations including payroll coordination and benefits administration
Ability to collaborate with finance and executive leadership on organizational development
Experience in conflict resolution and handling employee relations matters
Experience in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
Ability to manage and mentor HR team members
