Responsibilities
Oversee daily IT operations
Lead cybersecurity initiatives
Support related employee education
Drive technology implementation that enhances operational efficiency and strengthens security
Provide leadership and technical direction to IT team
Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures
Manage data protection efforts for all Cooperative subsidiaries and business units
Keep employees current on cybersecurity awareness and safe technology practices
Conduct risk assessments
Maintain incident response and recovery plans
Identify and manage software and system vulnerabilities
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Ensure projects align with organizational goals, timelines and budgets
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity or a related field
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, networking or cybersecurity
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity best practices
Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework
Proven leadership skills with strong English verbal and written communication abilities
Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present to executive team and board of directors
Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple deadline-driven priorities
Adaptability to rapidly changing technology
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
Physical ability to sit for extended periods in office environment
Preferred
Utility or electric cooperative experience preferred
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Project management certification or equivalent experience is preferred
