Responsibilities

Completes the admission/registration process and other admission finance functions
Serves as liaison between patients, nurses, physicians and others
Responsible for handling walk-in patients and incoming telephone calls from customers seeking assistance with matters involving the patient accounting function
Must be knowledgeable of admitting, billing and collection functions and be able to resolve any outstanding issues without involving other staff members
Provides excellent customer service

Required

GED or High School Diploma

Must be able to perform cashiering functions
Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
Knowledge of PC in Windows environment
25 wpm typing skills
3-5 years - Customer Service

Preferred

Bachelor's degree
CHAA certification
Healthcare/Medical Insurance environment
Knowledge of insurance requirements
Customer Service preferred in Healthcare environment
