Development Purchasing Manager

Heartland Dental is a rapidly growing brand seeking a Development Purchasing Manager to enhance process initiatives and technology improvements within their Development department. The role involves collaborating with various management levels to implement changes that optimize cost and quality controls while facilitating the purchase-payment lifecycle for projects.

Responsibilities

Build tools & process for execution of current master service agreements through the following:
Measurement & Analysis of the performance indicators
Collaborate with various Development teams to implement solutions to cost variation
Create & maintain dashboards, spend analyses, and performance reports
Execute purchasing functions (ordering, inventory management, invoice approvals, etc…) for new & strategic owner provided categories
Assist Development teams with integration of process & technology improvements
Examples: PO & Invoicing systems
Train vendors and internal team members
Technical expert & interdepartmental liaison
Support expansion of RFP process across Development
Category research and development
Bid proposal analysis & negotiation support
Lead projects/initiatives with teams of Development & interdepartmental peers
Communicate with internal/external peers & leadership: Written, Verbal, In person, & Virtual
Assist Design & Construction teams with identifying resolutions for deviations and custom specifications
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree and 6+ years' experience in purchasing or supply chain management
Advanced Excel/data analytics skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience working with cross functional teams on process & systems improvement
Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and email
Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Ability to present and articulate said concepts and notations, with confidence, to a variety of audiences

Preferred

Experience in retail development or construction project management
Experience with Lucernex, Procore, or other industry software
Highly organized & detail-oriented with impeccable follow up and follow through
Solid values with a strong work ethic & a great sense of humor!
