The New York State Workers' Compensation Board is seeking an Assistant Workers' Compensation Examiner to assist in various tasks related to workers' compensation claims. The role involves answering inquiries, processing judgments, and providing support to attorneys and senior examiners.

Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation and processing of judgments
Tracking judgments
Maintaining pertinent information in the Bureau of Compliance's Insurance Compliance System
Assisting in the processing of legal documents for filing; and
Providing overall assistance to attorneys and the Senior Workers' Compensation Examiner as needed
Qualification
Required
Candidates must have a High school diploma or GED AND one year of full-time general office experience
Individuals certified eligible for the 55b/c program under the Governor's Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55b/c of the Civil Service Law will also be considered
Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list
Candidates must have one year permanent or 55 b/c service in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
