Steel Erection Project Manager

Responsibilities
Manage all activities associated with the construction of assigned projects. Verify all contractual terms and obligations of the projects are maintained. Maintaining that the projects meet cost requirements, if costs at any time are exceeded, notify the Managing Director
Managing projects: This includes preparing and attending kickoff meetings
Before the project begins, become knowledgeable of contract terms and schedule
Coordinating with the Management team, Contractor, Detailer, Shop and Field; to maintain agreed job schedule
Monitoring project schedules; regarding submittals, approvals, and shop fabrication releases. Identify and communicate possible delays or problems to project management team
Organize detailing RFI process through formal RFI to customer and informal RFI's with the engineer, architect, and general contractor
Establishes project sequencing
If issues arise, meet with customers and vendors to identify and resolve the problems that will maximize production and minimize costs
Managing changes orders and have the ability to assertively get them processed and billed
Managing drawing revisions and keeping drawing logs up to date
Keeping Drawing Logs up to date
Coordinating loads for shipping
As needed you will assist in change order meetings with the General Contractor
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated knowledge of the fabrication and erection of structural steel
Proven ability to read and interpret shop and design drawings
Proven ability to manage large multiple commercial and industrial projects
Knowledge in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; FabTrol
Project Management: 5 years (Required)
High school or equivalent (Required)
