Fixed Asset Coordinator

Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is one of the largest suppliers of analytical instrumentation and is seeking a Fixed Asset Coordinator to join their team at their corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD. This role manages the full lifecycle of fixed asset instruments, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient processes by collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

Control, monitor, and redistribute fixed asset instruments
Review and process asset requests for completeness
Track depreciation and manage disposition records for removed assets
Coordinate transfers between regions and inventory with Divisional VP approval
Lead and execute annual fixed asset physical inventory across HQ and regions
Reconcile the CIP (Construction in Progress) account and validate project completion
Collaborate with Divisional Managers to monitor lab and demo inventory
Maintain accurate fixed asset data and reporting

Required

High school diploma required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Experience with inventory control and process management
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
Innovative: Consistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinking

Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or Dynamics 365 is a plus

Additional compensation is available through either an Incentive and/or Commission Plan.
Additional compensation is offered through a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA)

As a non-exempt role, you will also be eligible for overtime and double time pay according to employee handbook guidelines.
