Responsibilities
Welcome patients and families with care and professionalism
Assist with registration and check-in
Support scheduling and administrative needs
Help create a calm, positive environment for pediatric patients
Handle telephones, patient appointment scheduling, patient check-in, insurance verification, authorization, pre-certifications, referrals, and posting charges, initial collections, preparing well-coded and accurate billing and maintenance of medical records
Manage the business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health and corporate accounts as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor of the department
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED Required
Less than 1 Year Clerical/Administrative required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required in Employee Health and may also be required at other locations within 90 days of hire
Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills
IT/computer proficient
Basic math
Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful
Preferred
Insurance/Customer Service preferred
