Responsibilities
Develops and leads sourcing strategies across APIs, raw materials, packaging, and contract services to ensure a secure and cost-effective supply chain aligned with business needs
Negotiates contracts, supplier agreements, and service terms while managing long-term supplier performance and implementing risk mitigation strategies
Collaborates with Research and Development, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure supplier qualification and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration, and Drug Enforcement Administration requirements
Supports new product introductions, technical transfers, and supply chain readiness for commercialization through proactive procurement planning and stakeholder alignment
Champions procurement process optimization by integrating automation tools, digital systems, and data-driven insights to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and drive continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 8 years of experience in vendor relationship management and contract negotiation within a cGMP, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment, including complex supplier management
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience required
Preferred
Master's degree or Master of Business Administration
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
