Responsibilities
Collects and validates external pricing data from multiple sources to ensure accurate competitive positioning
Provides competitive pricing reports to Merchant partners, recommending strategic actions aligned with category objectives
Conducts weekly margin reviews, delivering insights and recommendations for pricing adjustments across regular, promotional, and clearance price points
Identifies opportunities for pricing optimization to enhance margin performance while maintaining competitive positioning
Models sales and margin impacts associated with pricing scenarios and collaborates with Merchandising teams to implement strategies
Drives and maintains the integrity of class level pricing strategies ensuring pricing is accurately and consistently reflected across core business systems
Utilizes existing analytical tools to generate customized pricing reports and insights based on business needs
Acts as a strategic consultant on new item pricing, supplying competitive data and category analytics
Tracks and analyzes the impact of price adjustments, adjusting pricing strategies based on market dynamics, trends, and opportunities
Reviews internal pricing data to identify and execute pricing opportunities
Takes initiative in identifying and resolving pricing and margin-related issues through collaboration with peers and leadership
Leads the execution of end-of-life and seasonal markdowns for assigned product categories
Keeps leadership informed of critical developments, potential risks, and key opportunities related to pricing strategy
Coordinates and communicates pricing plans and initiatives with relevant teams to ensure alignment and a cohesive approach
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field required with a concentration in Business, Economics, or Mathematics preferred
3+ years' experience in Pricing, Merchandising, Finance or analysis role
Excellent analytical skills and ability to effectively gather data, analyze, summarize and make recommendations
Strong math aptitude including understanding components of financial analysis, margin and impact to P&L
Ability to react quickly to change, be flexible, and think critically
Strong organizational skills to effectively manage a variety of responsibilities
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of company and vendor personnel
Preferred
Excellent computer skills with strong abilities in Excel, SQL and PowerBi
Experience working with pricing optimization software
