System Administrator

MCPC is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to serve as the primary onsite IT contact for a manufacturing facility in Huntingdon, TN. This role will be responsible for supporting application, network, hardware, and software environments while ensuring high system availability and maximizing plant uptime.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for all onsite IT support needs, ensuring high levels of technology satisfaction
Diagnose, isolate, and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues and provide follow-up to end users
Manage, maintain, and administer computer networks and related computing environments
Support and execute special IT, business, and MES projects
Administer, plan, and support infrastructure platforms including: VeloCloud SD-WAN, Palo Alto firewalls, Veeam backup solutions, GlobalProtect VPN, VMware environments and system conversions
Perform system upgrades, replacements, and configuration updates in a downtime-sensitive and often remote environment
Assist with site migrations, new site acquisitions, and site closures
Provide desktop and server support and partner with site IT contacts as needed
Administer and support Avaya telephone systems and camera systems
Deploy and manage workstations, including hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance
Administer and maintain local server software applications
Perform monthly server maintenance and routine system health checks
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, VPN, and timeclock issues
Maintain and manage VPN connections and endpoint configurations
Facilitate technology onboarding for new associates
Communicate with internal clients in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality
Travel to other company locations as required
Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
6+ years of IT experience supporting mid- to large-cap organizations (approximately $500M+ environments preferred)
Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration
Strong technical expertise in Active Directory
Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure / Entra ID
Strong technical expertise in Intune
Strong technical expertise in SharePoint
Strong technical expertise in Power Automate
Strong technical expertise in Networking and infrastructure technologies
Availability to provide 24/7 on-call support as needed
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, Teams)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and personalities
Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

Preferred

Manufacturing or plant-floor IT experience preferred but not required
