Responsibilities
Perform research relevant to the specialty finance market, associated risks and specific transactional opportunity set
Enhance database efficiency and data analysis capabilities
Manage ad-hoc projects focused on market research and data analysis
Work with large data sets to assist with the development of quantitative asset-based financial models
Perform comparative industry and asset performance analysis to assist with investment selection and structuring
Conduct analysis and due diligence on investment opportunities with specialty finance companies and portfolios of cash flowing assets
Assist with the preparation of term sheets and investment committee memos
Qualification
Required
An analytical mindset with a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science or a related field
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Solid understanding of bond math and cashflow modelling fundamentals
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Outstanding work ethic, ability and desire to work in a collegial, demanding and dynamic fast paced environment
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
