Responsibilities
Assisting experienced team members with the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of commercial HVAC sheet metal products (such as ductwork, fittings, and accessories)
Support on-site tasks
Help maintain a clean and organized job site
Handle materials
Learn industry best practices under close supervision
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair a wide range of HVAC sheet metal products and equipment
Handle more complex tasks independently but still work under the guidance of senior team members
Lead installations
Perform system check-outs and startups where applicable
Interpret blueprints
Ensure compliance with specs and codes
Work with minimal supervision
May guide junior team members
Qualification
Required
A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Reliability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
Limited or no prior experience in HVAC or sheet metal work for Sheet Metal Installer I
3+ years of experience and solid knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and dry-side commercial HVAC systems for Sheet Metal Installer II
5+ years of experience and mastery-level expertise in sheet metal and dry-side commercial HVAC applications for Sheet Metal Installer III
In-depth understanding of commercial duct systems, layout, and design for Sheet Metal Installer II
Ability to independently fabricate, assemble, install, and repair HVAC-related sheet metal products and equipment for Sheet Metal Installer III
Ability to lead installations and perform system check-outs and startups where applicable for Sheet Metal Installer III
Ability to interpret blueprints and ensure compliance with specs and codes for Sheet Metal Installer III
