Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge and successful implementation of the elements of an effective compliance program
Knowledgeable of various laws and regulations, including but not limited to: Federal and State Anti-Kick Back Statutes, False Claims Act, Payor Regulatory Requirements, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and Ethical Standards and Business Conduct
Organize, develop, or source training courses to meet specific training needs on various laws and regulations as well as compliance policies and procedures based on compliance risk assessment data and knowledge of various laws and regulations
Support a robust information governance program to ensure that records retention policies and schedules are being adhered too and business specific needs are being met
Oversee and refine a global strategic compliance training program including delivering adaptive scenario based learning and live training as well as supporting awareness campaigns and monitoring the programmatic effectiveness
Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees and keep current on training design and methodology
Coordinate a global Compliance Week, including scheduling speakers, activities and events
Partner with the communications team on various initiatives (e.g., intranet content, awareness initiatives, informative articles and emails, etc.)
Maintain a comprehensive risk assessment program by supporting a program that identifies, evaluates, prioritizes, and assigns accountability for both existing and emerging compliance risks. Additionally, evaluate opportunities to merge/utilize data from other risk functions
Oversee ethics and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring regular review with key stakeholders, industry benchmarking, harmonization with acquisitions, timely updates, and effective retention strategies
Oversee the Compliance Center of Excellence auditing and monitoring program that utilizes a risk based approach tailored to business processes and compliance requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
5-7 years' experience in relevant healthcare compliance positions preferred
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements preferred
Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of legal and compliance concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
Effectively communicate with all levels of the Cardinal Health organization
Proven leadership ability with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated individual able to obtain and increase competency with vendor systems
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills with experience in professional and formal writing of work products such as policies, plans, and reports
Demonstrated facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
Proven ability to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve goals, including the ability to multi-task and set priorities appropriately
Ability to work collaboratively
Customer oriented attitude and ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects with a sense of urgency

Preferred

5-7 years' experience in relevant healthcare compliance positions preferred
