The Sales Development Rep will engage with higher education organizations to generate leads, manage opportunities, and support the sales team by effectively communicating the value of the company's products and services.

Responsibilities
You will be a key player in Ellucian’s field sales team to drive expansion of current enterprise accounts
Learn and demonstrate how to manage sales through good forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning
Develop the skills needed to employ effective selling strategies to successfully position Ellucian as a viable choice for the customer’s needs
Conduct research on potential leads, employing demand generation tactics and developing outreach strategies to effectively engage prospects
Establish strong relationships based on knowledge of customer requirements and commitment to value
Coordinate meetings or demos between qualified prospects and the sales team, ensuring a seamless handover within the pipeline
Actively understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, technology strategy and competitive landscape
Review public information (e.g. new executive appointments, earnings statements, press releases) for the company and its competitors to remain updated on key industry trends and issues impacting the prospect
Participate in sales meeting and provide feedback on lead quality and outreach strategies
Meet or exceed assigned quotas for qualified leads, sales opportunities, and revenue generation
Drive complex sales cycles orchestrating internal resources of pre-sales, proposals, contacts, inside sales, marketing and sales support
Provide support to the field sales team to ensure internal processes are advancing
Qualification
Required
Transferable sales skills from retail, customer service or other relevant positions
A professional yet friendly customer service attitude that will enhance your ability to perform well and grow within a Higher Education technology company
A conscientious, highly motivated self-starter, who is detailed-oriented and committed to make a difference in Higher Education
A strategic thinker who possesses effective time management skills that focus on long-term success
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
