Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a hybrid enterprise environment for a large organization. The Network Engineer will design, secure, and maintain critical network infrastructure with a focus on firewall management, secure access technologies, and modern zero-trust principles.

Responsibilities

Configure, manage, and optimize Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama
Support and administer Zscaler platforms (ZIA and/or ZPA) for secure cloud access
Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco networking and security infrastructure
Manage core networking services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
Troubleshoot SSL/TLS, PKI, and traffic decryption issues
Support hybrid enterprise environments with a focus on security and availability
Assist with network modernization initiatives and zero trust deployments
Work cross-functionally with security, cloud, and operations teams to troubleshoot complex issues
Ensure network configurations follow compliance, security, and governance standards
Provide documentation, diagrams, and operational guidance as needed

Required

5+ years of experience in network security or infrastructure engineering
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
Strong experience with Zscaler ZIA and/or ZPA
Experience supporting Cisco networking/security platforms
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, BGP, OSPF
Knowledge of SSL/TLS, PKI, and decryption technologies
Experience supporting hybrid enterprise or regulated environments
Eligible for and willing to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred

Certifications such as PCNSE/PCNSA, Zscaler ZCCA-IA or ZCCA-PA, Cisco CCNP, or Security+
Experience with Zero Trust architecture
Cloud networking/security experience (Azure or AWS)
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or APIs
Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk or similar)
