Responsibilities

Performs advanced fleet repairs and preventative maintenance on fire apparatus such as aerial ladders, fire engines, and heavy-duty rescue trucks, using the set of tools provided
Troubleshoot issues with fire pumps, aerial devices, drivetrains, cooling systems, and electrical components

Qualification

Automotive Service ExcellenceAutomotive RepairVehicle ElectronicsHeavy-Duty Vehicle MaintenanceNorth Carolina Class C LicenseNorth Carolina Class A License

Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
At least 6 months of training beyond High School in Automotive Repair or related field
3 to 5 years' experience in automotive repair, vehicle electronics, or a related field
Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Valid North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
Automotive Service Excellence certifications
