Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents
Support the legal team in reviewing and interpreting laws, regulations, and case law relevant to S&P Global
Assist with due diligence efforts for transactions and projects
Assist with any other legal matters or projects
Participate in meetings with in-house counsel and business stakeholders as needed
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a 1L or 2L in a JD program at an ABA-accredited law school
Strong record of high academic achievement with an interest in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, interpersonal, and communications skills
Intellectual curiosity with attention to detail
Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage deadlines effectively
Foundational understanding of AI concepts and enthusiasm for exploring how legal‑tech and AI tools can support attorneys by accelerating research, enhancing drafting, improving knowledge management, and reducing manual workload
Interest in developing practical awareness of how AI can be applied within a modern in‑house legal department
Candidates must be fully available to work in a hybrid role in New York for the duration of the internship (June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026)
