Site Reliability Engineer

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional-level Site Reliability Engineer to join ICT, a unit within UFIT. This role involves advanced IT systems administration, programming, and architectural design and implementation to optimize and maximize IT provided services.

Required

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of relevant experience
Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience, but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
Advanced knowledge of Linux Ubuntu/RedHat
Expert-level understanding of API design, implementation, and integration
Advanced knowledge of load balancing principles and technologies (F5 BIG-IP experience highly preferred)
Advanced knowledge of network monitoring systems and methodologies (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana preferred)
