Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines
Extract data from multiple source systems and load it into data warehouses or data lakes
Transform, cleanse, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency
Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability
Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot issues, and resolve failures promptly
Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements
Implement data validation, error handling, and logging mechanisms
Document ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and agile ceremonies
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
10+ years of experience in ETL development, data integration, or data engineering
Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or IBM DataStage
Advanced proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
Solid understanding of data warehousing, BI, and analytics concepts
Preferred
Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Google BigQuery
Knowledge of Python, Java, or other scripting languages for data transformation
Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices
Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation in data workflows
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams
