Responsibilities
Answers all incoming calls and emails to Patient Financial Services and assists patients and/or insurance companies with questions and concerns regarding professional and hospital billing by performing account analysis to deliver a seamless customer service experience across a broad range of touch points
Resolves all account inquiries received in a prompt and accurate fashion, and utilizes medical billing knowledge, as well as collection workflows, to effectively collect from and provide financial resources to patients/insurance
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
Minimum of 3 years of customer service, medical finance, patient registration, or collections experience (preferably in a hospital or clinic billing setting) is required
Basic math skills, knowledge of local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, and general knowledge of hospital billing practices are required
Excellent customer service skills with demonstrated compassion and empathy are required
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
Demonstrated computer skills and the ability to multi-task is required
Preferred
An associate degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred
