Generalist, Human Resources - Automotive

AAA Oregon/Idaho is looking for a Human Resources Generalist--Automotive to join our Human Resources team at our administrative headquarters in downtown Portland. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for being the first point of contact for Human Resources programs, advising, data management, and compliance throughout the full employee life cycle, including compliance, recordkeeping, employee relations, reporting, recruitment, and separation.

Responsibilities

Being the first point of contact for Human Resources programs, advising, data management, and compliance throughout the full employee life cycle, including compliance, recordkeeping, employee relations, reporting, recruitment, and separation
Typically have primary support for specific, designated Business Lines

Qualification

Human Resources experienceHR CertificationEmployment law knowledgeRecruiting experienceADP HRIS systemsCustomer service skillsProblem analysisData managementBilingual (Spanish/English)Communication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Current knowledge of state (Oregon/Idaho) and federal employment law and best practices
Experience managing workers' compensation claims in a similar industry/environment
Strong understanding Human Resources and business practices
Experience with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring
Ability to work with a diverse employee population
Must be highly detailed and organized with the ability to manage a large volume of data and deadlines across internal and external customers over twenty plus regional locations
Sense of urgency, follow through, and high level of responsiveness
Position requires strong oral/written communication skills and relationship management skills
Must possess strong customer service skills and have ability to work in a team environment
Must have ability to analyze problems, think creatively, and make independent decisions or take independent actions based on sound judgement
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and data security required at all times
Proficiency with Excel, scheduling programs, PowerPoint, and other computer systems necessary

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
3 - 5 years Human Resources experience in a related industry
HR Certification
Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills
Experience ADP HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now)
