Responsibilities

Maintain a limited caseload of complex matters, including child death and homicide, child abuse and neglect, and sexual assault cases, while serving as the primary leader and manager of the Special Victims Unit
Direct and supervise Deputy Attorneys General, overseeing administrative and support staff operations, coordinating case assignments and training, and managing overall unit performance
Work closely with law enforcement agencies, child protection partners, medical professionals, and the courts to address case-related issues and ensure effective collaboration
Assist law enforcement with after-hours investigations and critical incidents

Required

Substantial felony trial experience
Experience working with victims
Ability to evaluate criminal cases
Determine appropriate resolutions
Anticipate legal issues
Strong prosecution skills
Demonstrated leadership ability
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Capacity to effectively manage staff
Lead and participate in training for Deputy Attorneys General
High level of proficiency in criminal prosecution
Ability to manage complex investigations
Conduct accurate and effective legal research
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with law enforcement detectives, medical professionals, child welfare partners, Deputy Attorneys General, support staff, and court personnel
Membership in the Delaware Bar
