Responsibilities
Performing accounting technician duties by reviewing federal tax returns for agricultural fuel tax refund eligibility and entering fuel tax returns into the appropriate system
Responsible for the accurate processing of cash, checks, taxpayer information, and refunds under department internal controls
Assists with various mail distribution duties
Qualification
Required
1 year of related office experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to effectively organize workload
Ability to understand rules, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures and apply them appropriately
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers
The successful candidate must pass a name-based background investigation as a condition of employment
Driver's record will be verified
Compliance with Mont. Admin. R. 2.6.201, 'State Vehicle Use,' and MDT Policy #6.03.001, 'State Vehicle Use Policy' are conditions of employment
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States must be provided if selected for hire
