Responsibilities
Prepares construction drawings and sketches
Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures
Initiates requisitions for field purchases
Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment
Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required
Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities
Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development
Reviews and approves inspection test plans
Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals
Qualification
Required
Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience
Translates indirects scope into executable field work—solid working knowledge of temporary power, water, lighting, access, fencing, laydown, traffic, scaffolding, cranes, and site utilities
Supports planning and readiness—packages indirects work into IWPs, supports look-ahead planning, and ensures indirects are in place ahead of field demand
Controls quality and compliance—verifies installations meet codes, specs, and site standards; maintains permits, inspections, and as-built documentation
Tracks quantities and performance—supports progress measurement, equipment utilization, and material tracking; flags gaps before they impact execution
Acts as field coordinator and problem-solver—interfaces daily with indirects superintendents, safety, construction, and vendors to resolve issues quickly and keep workfaces productive
